Why Does My Back Hurt?

Your spine has four different regions: the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral. All of these regions follow a natural S-curve. Most back pain is felt in both the thoracic and lumbar region. The thoracic spine, which is your upper back, curves inward and helps with mobility while distressing other parts of the spine. It helps with holding your body upright as well as protecting vital organs and stabilizing your body. The lumbar spine, your lower back, is the most flexible part of your spine helping you with twisting and bending. It supports most of the upper body weight and helps give you power.
